Dr. Zak

“It is my honor as a veterinarian to offer compassionate, holistic care to our cherished companions and their families.”

Dr. Zak is known as a life-long animal lover! He knew he’d found his calling when he was given his pet turtle, Apricot, as a youngster. Dr. Zak has over 21 years of expertise in veterinary medicine and is constantly expanding his knowledge in new fields. Dr. Zak has worked in a variety of animal facilities in the Greater Toronto Area and Northern Ontario, including emergency hospitals, shelters, and regular veterinary clinics. As a result, he has expertise in urgent care, behavioral therapy, allergy management, skincare, and chronic illnesses. He’s also served as a surgeon at the OSPCA’s high-volume spay and neuter clinic, where he operated on 12-15 animals per day. Dr. Zak is thrilled to establish his own animal hospital in Waterdown, where he is dedicated to putting his knowledge, skills, and expertise to work in the best interests of our beloved furry friends. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Zak enjoys spending time with his family and beagle Rosie, reading, fishing, biking, and traveling overseas.
